Meet August

August is a cheeky, young Merlion who loves Singapore with all his heart. He is very vocal about the things he supports and isn’t afraid to stand up for his beliefs. A friendly soul with a keen interest in Singapore’s history, August loves collecting mementos of Singapore from all the different sites he visits with Merli, from Fort Canning Park to the Art Science Museum!

August also loves traditional Singapore goodies, and can devour an entire container of Jewel Biscuits in one sitting. To burn off all those calories, August, unsurprisingly, swims regularly with his good friends Water Wally and Water Sally. August is a huge fan of the Young Lions and imitates his favourite players whenever he has the chance to, on the football pitch or under the void deck with Nila! (shhh!)

August feels that there is no better way to give back to the community that has given him so much and can be found volunteering wherever he is needed. He takes great pride in helping others, with his friends Singa and Sharity, or keeping Singapore clean in his own little ways with Captain Green!

At home, August likes jamming to lo-fi hip hop beats while he studies, or sharing with friends the latest updates on NDP 2021 on the NDPeeps social media platforms. So do follow August and his friends as they take you on a journey towards #NDP2021!
