Singapore @ Home (Singapore Global Network)
To celebrate our nation’s 56th birthday, our friends at Singapore Global Network is bringing you an exciting global show this National Day weekend!
What does Home mean to you? To some, it will be the food we eat. To others, it will be the places that we’ve been. And, of course, it’s always the people that make a place, home. Join Singapore Global Network (SGN) in our first-ever global show to celebrate National Day and what it means to ‘come home’ to our new normal.
Catch moments of magic in this 6-hour virtual show, hosted by Hossan Leong and directed by Dick Lee.
Celebrate our island home with local talents such as Kumar, Irene Ang, Sylvia Chan, Suhaimi Yusof, and with live music performances from our studios by Taufik Batisah, Disco Hue and brb.
Sing a song for Singapore with Dick Lee as he shares his journey as an Overseas Singaporean and what inspired him to compose HOME.
Take a little trip around our Singapore town with Discovery Walking Tour’s Alan Chua, and experience love at first light with a special viewing of Grandmother Tongue from Wild Rice.
Check out what our community of Overseas Singaporeans that have left home to pursue their dreams are up to, and what the road ahead will bring them.
